Covers a route corridor from Adis Ababa 470 miles south-eastwards to Dolo on the Abyssinia/East Africa Protectorate border to a width of approximately 25 miles. Portrays hydrology, relief by form lines and spot heights, roads and tracks, settlements, place names and the expedition route, and includes topographical and ethnographical notes. Sheets numbered 1 to 4. Traced from the corresponding plane table and prismatic compass survey sheets, although the sheet boundaries and the extent of the mapped areas are not always consistent.Sheet 1 bears a note, signed by Major C.W. Gwynn R.E. and dated 1908, highlighting a discrepancy with an earlier survey. Sheets 3 and 4 are signed by Corporal C. Carter R.E. and dated 1908.
